He is an atrist

Hey Yall,

Azland is such an artist and great at Claymation.  I swear this kid can work at Universal Studios some day.  He can see something and create it or draw it.  AND  of course he creates his own ideas as well.  Its a therapy for him which is great because he is so good at it.  AND it is great motor skills therapy too.

Here is a picture of a duck he made using Play-do.  He did not start playing with play-do till be was around 5 or 6.  He didn't like the way it felt.

He always put so much detail into everything he makes.  AND they are usually small which is even more amazing that he creates all the details with his fingers and no tools.

This summer I am looking into getting him private art classes.  I wish there was an art school for him in my area but I have not found on for his age.

Every autistic person is different in their own way and same goes for Azland.  He struggles with reading and telling me his feelings.  He is really good at math and drawing.  He struggles to be still and focus but when he is creating he never moves and is fully in tune with what he is creating.

Good times

Hey Yall,

Well Azland had a good first week of school.  He is riding the big bus this year rather than the short one.  He is super excited about that. lol (so cute) the only problem is there is not an aid on the big bus so he is not sure when to get on or off.  The bus driver has to tell him were to sit and when to get off but I hope that changes soon.  Other than that he loves it.

We went to the island this weekend and boy did he have a blast.  I was not sure how he would do there all day but he did great.  BUT when he was tired he was over it. lol

He was so excited about catching a fish...we put him back of course but he loved it none the less.
He was all ready to get off the boat
 Loving the water
Batray...they were all over the place and so cool to watch
 Big horse shoe crab
 Female blue crab
Tiny baby horse shoe crab

Island trip and success!!!

Have a fabulous day!

Its been a while

Hey Yall,

I started this blog a while back to help my self and others with the autism that had touched my life.  Well, I kinda walked away from it but I would like to get it back going.  I will try to post things as often as I can and for sure at least once a week.  I would love to touch base with anyone out there who shares to same life as I.  I guess to feel like you are not along and/or can relate to someone who feels the same thing, is comforting.  SO...from here on out I will try to keep this blog on my "to do list".

Baseball!!!!!!!

I just can not believe I am saying this but my son actually want to play baseball today.  This is the very first time he has EVER asked me.  He went in his room and got his bat and ball (blew the dust off)...came to me and said "mommy lets play ball!"  How awesome is that!!!!!  Then he said "outside."  So we have been outside for about an hour playing ball.  Holly cow I am super happy and I just can not believe it.  He hit the ball so well and didn't want to stop.

My son NEVER wants to go outside.  And for him to want to play ball with out me telling him too is AMAZING!  Gosh I just can not believe it.

So happy and Proud!

Can't be still

My son CAN NOT sit still for more than .50 seconds.  I fight with him to sit and eat at the dinner table.(which he does not eat...hardly ever)  I can beat his butt and it does not change.  He never stops moving....NEVER!  gggggrgrrrrrrr  I am not for medicine because he is so young but sheesh sometime I would like to try it out for one day.

SOOOO frustrating!

Matching colors only....

My son loves to paint.  He has about 3 paint sets and used them all.  He also has 2 sets of kids paint brushes and also used them all.  He just loves it!

Look at the way he paints though.  He matches the color of the paint brush to the color of the paint.

He only uses the color with that paint brush and never mixes.  The colors that do not have a paint brush to match he uses his fingers.
He is SUPER interesting to watch!
